My first day of school went great! I had planned every moment of the lesson and kept the teens interested and under control. I engaged them in personal introductions, discussed the importance of telling our stories and having respect as a core value in class. I heard the kids approving of me with the Principal when he walked by, so I felt like I was going to do marvelously well the rest of the school year. But when I went home after the first class, I thought to myself, now what? What do I teach them for the next 10 months?
